Copeland and a 35-year-old Buena Park man allegedly got into an argument at the Shuttle Inn on Imperial Highway. Police said Copeland hit and killed the victim with his car, dragging his body several hundred feet before speeding away.
The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
Copeland has been charged with murder. He is set to be arraigned in Downey Superior Court on Wednesday.
