Riverside retailers see increased sales

RIVERSIDE, Calif. The months of September and October have shown slight increases in sales for some national chain stores, compared to last year.

Economists say those who still have a job may be feeling better about the economy than they did a year ago, but the family budget will remain tight.

Experts say whether shoppers buy more or less this holiday season, one thing's for sure. People will bargain shop, forgoing department stores like Macy's and Nordstrom for discount stores like Target and Wal-mart.
