A new study has found that seniors are much less likely to die from heart disease, especially if they consume plenty of fruits and vegetables and also have good cognitive function.Researchers at the Drexel University School of Public Health in Philadelphia analyzed data from nearly 5,000 men and women age 70 and older.

They found that for those who ate three daily servings of fruits and vegetables and had good cognitive function, the risk of dying of heart disease was lowered by as much as 30 percent.
