Woman arrested in teen brother's stabbing death

SYLMAR, Calif. Amber Reed, 20, allegedly stabbed her brother, Parrish Reed, in the chest Saturday night at an apartment in Sylmar.

Investigators said the siblings got into a heated argument over money. Reed became violent, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her brother.

Officers were called out to the unit on the 12100 block of San Fernando Road at around 8:40 p.m. When they arrived they found the victim bleeding and lying on the floor. He was transported to a hospital where he died.

Reed was arrested and charged with murder. She is being held in lieu of $ 1 million bail.
