He told investigators it appeared she had been shot and left in the back seat of her car.
Relatives of the woman reported the young mother missing on Sunday after she failed to return home from a company Christmas party in Carson on Saturday night. They say they have no idea who would want to hurt the woman.
An investigation into the woman's death is under way. Detectives say the circumstances appear suspicious.
"The body was covered, the car was unlocked, and it was ransacked. We don't know if that's the normal condition," LAPD Det. Andrew Purdy.
No motive was known, but authorities confirmed there were signs of trauma to the body.
