Arrest in fatal South L.A. stabbing

LOS ANGELES Investigators say Aurelio Ramirez and the victim, 26-year-old Juan Ventura Ola, were involved in a heated argument early Thursday morning. Detectives say Ramirez pulled out an unknown sharp object, stabbed Ola multiple times in the chest, and left the area. Ola was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Acting on several leads, detectives later tracked down Ramirez at his home in the 900 block of West 59th place and arrested him. He was booked for murder with his bail amount set at $1 million.
