The suspect was driving a white SUV. The driver was driving fast and extremely recklessly on surface streets in the Hollywood area. The rain-slick streets made the erratic driving extra dangerous.
The suspect vehicle crashed into a white, four-door Lexus sedan in the intersection of 6th Street and Western Avenue at approximately 6:30 p.m., debilitating the SUV. Police were able to quickly detain the suspect without incident.
Injuries were not reported.
