Deputies got a second call about a stabbing in the parking lot, and the suspect was trying to get away in a blue Dodge Durango.
Witnesses say the suspect critically stabbed the victim, and then ran over him with his vehicle.
They also say he knocked over three other people with his SUV.
Deputies spotted the suspect vehicle, and made a felony traffic stop. Both the driver and his passenger surrendered with no resistance.
Deputies located a bloody knife inside the vehicle. The front of the vehicle was smeared with blood.
The attempted murder suspect is identified as 22-year old Miguel Contreras of Victorville.
Investigators say Contreras is a known gang member.
He's now been charged with attempted murder.
