2 arrested for growing 'magic mushrooms'

LAKE LOS ANGELES Deputies found the operation when they answered a trespassing call at a home in the Antelope Valley. The home was supposed to be vacant. When deputies arrived, they found a sophisticated growing operation and several firearms.

Deputies arrested 37-year-old Joseph Jackson and 41-year-old Angela Coffey. They're charged with growing the drug, and with burglary and receiving stolen property. Authorities said the growers had been stealing electricity to grow their hallucinogenic crop.

Several guns were also seized at the scene. Jackson and Coffey remained jailed on $50,000 bail each.
