Police search for home invasion suspects

A search was underway Thursday afternoon for two suspects in a home invasion robbery in Simi Valley. Police say it happened Monday around 8:30 a.m. They say 4 to 6 men, armed with handguns, entered the home and confronted five residents, two women, a man, and two young children. The residents were escorted to an upstairs bedroom where they were bound and questioned about money, drugs and guns.

Investigators say the suspects scoured the home for over an hour and left with an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry. The male adult resident sustained an injury to his face after being kicked by one of the suspects.

Police released sketches of the suspects, one is described as Hispanic male, about 27-years-old, 6 foot tall, 180 lbs. and medium build. The second suspect is also described as a Hispanic male, around 45-years-old, 5 foot five inches, 230 lbs., stocky build, wearing large "gauge" style wooden colored circular earrings with a red star in the center.
