Fake cop pulls teen driver over, molests him

CYPRESS, Calif. Police said the teen stopped to use his cell phone on the 9500 block of Valley View Boulevard when a man drove up and identified himself as an off-duty officer. The man told the teen to pull into a restaurant parking lot and took his cell phone and driver's license. The man did a pat-down search, during which he sexually assaulted the boy several times.

The victim realized the suspect was not a police officer and became scared. Police said the suspect eventually returned the victim's driver's license and cell phone and allowed him to leave.

The suspect is described as white, clean-shaven, in his 40s, 5 feet, 11 inches, about 160 pounds and drove a red Dodge pickup truck.
