A DWP worker who was inspecting a debris basin needed to be rescued after he became stuck in the mud.

Deputies say DWP worker Randy Johnson fell into a sinkhole and was stuck up to his waist.

His fellow workers called 911 for help.

Deputies gave him a rope and a harness to keep him from sinking even further. Then, they used a 12-foot long board to reach him and pull him out of the mud filled sinkhole.
