'Blue Note Bandit' strikes 15th bank in SoCal

A 50-year-old man believed to be the 'blue note bandit' has been arrested on unrelated charges in Orange County.

The robber known as the "Blue Note Bandit" has struck again. The Orange County Sheriff's Department says he hit a bank on Moulton Parkway in Laguna Woods Tuesday.Investigators say he walked up to a teller, with a blue note, demanding large bills at a Home Savings of America branch. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The FBI says the same suspect has robbed 15 banks in Southern California since late November. He's called the "Blue Note Bandit" because he gave blue notes to tellers

He's described as tall, with crooked, gapped teeth.

A $20,000 reward is being offering for information leading to his arrest and conviction.
