More rain to come Sunday night, Monday morning

LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif. About a tenth to a quarter-inch of rain is expected to fall Sunday night and Monday morning, which is about the same amount that came down Friday night.

According to the National Weather Service Sunday night will also come with cold temperatures with lows predicted to drop into the upper 40s Sunday night. A wind advisory was also in effect for the Los Angeles area but was canceled.

On Friday night nearly 200 homes were ordered to evacuate in areas near charred hillsides in La Canada Flintridge and La Crescenta. The evacuations were lifted Saturday morning after the rain passed. No homes were damaged this weekend, but authorities were trying to avoid a repeat of two weeks ago when heavy rains flooded homes and streets with mud, causing damage to 43 homes in La Canada Flintridge.

More rain could come later in the week also. There is a 20 percent chance of showers Wednesday through Saturday.
