Police search for car-theft suspect in NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. Los Angeles Police officers from the North Hollywood Division and LAPD Metro officers set up a perimeter on several streets on the 6200 block of Beck Avenue near Sylvan Street just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The suspect had so far eluded officers, but authorities were confident the suspect was within the police perimeter.

Patrol cars and officers were surrounding the area.

A police dog K-9 unit was brought in to assist in the search.

Residents within the perimeter were asked to remain indoors while police conducted the search.

The owner of the stolen vehicle located the car in the neighborhood.
