Gayle King 'not ready' for 'Oprah' ending

NEW YORK "I said to Oprah, 'I'm having a hard time. I'm not ready,'" Gayle King told the Associated Press. "But you know, I am ready for her. She makes the best decision for herself. I totally understand why she's doing it."

She says she can't imagine TV without 'Oprah,' which has run 25 seasons.

King currently hosts a daily two-hour show on /*Oprah Radio*/, which can be found on Sirius XM. She's also an editor-in-large for O magazine.

The upcoming /*OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network*/ will likely have a role for King as well, though that hasn't been determined.
