New technology gives Roger Ebert new voice

LOS ANGELES Surgery for cancer left Ebert unable to speak several years ago.

Now Ebert says computer programmers have captured his voice from old recordings.

They've incorporated his sound into a text-to-audio program so he can be heard again.

He just types what he wants to say and listeners can hear a voice that sounds like him.

You can hear his new voice when he makes his Oscar predictions on Tuesday's Oprah Show.
