Service fee for Loma Linda EMS visits begins

LOMA LINDA, Calif. Residents will be charged $300 for each call for each Emergency Medical Service (EMS) call. Non-residents will be charged $400 for each EMS call.

Residents can opt to pay for a "Fire Medical" subscription to pay an annual fee of $48 and not be charged for each call.

Loma Linda city officials say the fee is necessary to help pay for the high cost of providing emergency services. For more information on the change, visit: http://www.lomalinda-ca.gov/asp/Site/Departments/FireDepartment/MedicalServices/intro.asp
