Gunmen hold 2 women captive, ransack home

WEST COVINA, Calif. Police said an 82-year-old woman who suffers from dementia answered a door in the 2700 block of East Miranda Street Thursday afternoon and two men forced their way into the house.

The men were armed with a handgun and a collapsible baton.

Investigators said the elderly woman and another woman were held captive while the men ransacked the home. Neither of the women was hurt.
