Westin Hotel customers warned of ID theft

LOS ANGELES A computer hacker cracked into data security at the hotel's four restaurants; Lake View Bistro, Lobby Court Bar, Bonavista Lounge and L.A. Prime. The person may have also accessed the hotel's valet parking information.

However, officials said the breach did not affect the computer system that stores the credit card information of hotel guests.

People who suspect unauthorized activity should report it to their credit card company or bank, as well as law enforcement authorities.
