Man pinned between wall and SUV gets rescued

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. The victim was smoking a cigarette outside of the Ramada Plaza Hotel on Garden Grove Boulevard when he was hit Friday evening.

The driver of the SUV said he was parking when his brakes failed and the vehicle continued to move forward.

The victim was hospitalized with moderate to severe leg injuries.

Police said alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the collision. No arrests were made.
