Police investigators say on Thursday, March 4, at around 6 p.m., the girl's mother reported her daughter missing.
According to the mother, the girl was not at her school.
A police investigation found the girl had been communicating with the suspect, Samuel Francisco of Los Angeles, on MySpace.
Investigators learned Francisco picked up the victim from school and took her to his home on the 500 block of East 36th Street.
Detectives of the LAPD and other agencies went to his residence, where they found the girl and arrested Francisco. He's being held on $500,000 bail.
