New on DVD: 'Up in the Air,' 'Precious'

LOS ANGELES In "Up in the Air," George Clooney plays a guy who travels all over the place firing people, and collecting frequent flyer miles along the way. He's made an art out of collecting miles. Anna Kendrick plays his protégée and Vera Farmiga plays a possible love interest. All three actors were nominated for /*Oscars*/, with the film up for "Best Picture."

"Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire" was also a "Best Picture" nominee. Star Gabourey Sidibe received a best actress Oscar nomination for her film debut and her co-star, Mo'Nique, won the Academy Award for her supporting role. "Precious" is about a physically, mentally and sexually abused inner-city teenager trying to find a better life. It's rated R.

On the documentary front, there's Michael Moore's latest film, "Capitalism: A Love Story." In this documentary, Moore examines how corporate dominance affects our everyday lives.

In the comedy "Old Dogs," Robin Williams and John Travolta play best friends who suddenly find themselves having to care for 7-year-old twins with not a clue how to do it. The film is rated PG.
