O.C. man convicted of dice game murder

SANTA ANA, calif. Franco Edgar Neftali, 44, was convicted of the January 11, 2007 murder of 67-year-old Son Neou at Bishop Manor, a Santa Ana apartment complex where Neftali was a maintenance man.

Prosecutors say the shooting occurred after Neftali lost hundreds of dollars in an illegal Cambodian dice game. He left and returned with a gun, shooting the 67 year old Neou. Neftali was arrested minutes later outside the apartment complex.

He now faces a sentence of 50 years to life in state prison. He is set to be sentenced May 7.
