Pacoima man fatally shot in his front yard

PACOIMA, Calif. Investigators say Jorge Rueda was hosting a small gathering at his home in the 11400 block of Magee Avenue. He was standing outside as his guests left when a gunman opened fire on the group from some distance away.

Rueda was hit, and rushed to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

LAPD detectives do not believe the shooting is gang related. They say they have found no motive for the violence.
