'Bounty Hunter,' 'Runaways' hit big screen

LOS ANGELES Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler team up in "The Bounty Hunter."

Butler plays a man who gets his dream job, then is assigned to track down his bail-jumping ex-wife.

The movie is rated PG-13.

The more family-friendly offering of the weekend is based on the best-selling novel "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid."

The film follows the adventures of a wise-cracking kid who must somehow survive the scariest time of anyone's life: middle school.

The R-rated wide release of the week stars Jude Law and Forest Whitaker as "Repo Men."

It's still about repossessing things after you fall behind on your payments. But these two aren't taking back cars or high end electronics. This film is set in the future and what they "Repo" are human organs.

There are several films out in limited release Friday including, "City Island" starring Andy Garcia and Julianna Marguiles.

The movie introduces us to several generations of the Rizzo family and everyone here has something to hide.

"The Killing Jar" stars Michael Madsen and Harold Perrineau in a thriller that has the patrons of a roadside diner being held hostage after some disturbing murders take place in a nearby county.

"The Runaways" is based on the turbulent real lives of the 70s all-girl-rock band.

Joan Jett, and Cherie Currie are played by /*Kristen Stewart*/, and /*Dakota Fanning*/ in this R-rated film.

/*Ben Stiller*/ stars in "/*Greenberg*/," the story of a single guy, bouncing back from a breakdown, who's looking to start anew. He quickly finds himself intrigued by his brother's young assistant.

And that's what's new at the movies this weekend.
