In a distinguished career spanning seven decades, Montalban made well over 100 film and television appearances. He will perhaps be most remembered for his iconic role as "Mr. Roarke" on the long-running television show "Fantasy Island."
Others will remember him as the menacing "Khan" in the "Star Trek" movies or from his role in the Robert Rodriguez "Spy Kids" trilogy. In 1970, Ricardo Montalban founded the Nosotros organization to help open doors for Latino actors in Hollywood. Ricardo Montalban passed away on January 14, 2009.
