James Cameron confirms 'Avatar' sequel

Hollywood Wrap with George Pennacchio
LOS ANGELES The director said when "Avatar" comes out on DVD and Blu-ray next month, it won't be available in 3-D, as it was in many theaters.

"I think 'Avatar' works on DVD because of the storytelling, the characters and the vibrancy of the imagery," said Cameron. "I think that it's scaleable."

Cameron addressed the big question on a lot of moviegoers' minds: Will there be a sequel?

"I think we're going to do 'Avatar 2.' There's some things I gotta get worked out with the studio first," said Cameron.

And if you are not a fan of preview trailers on a DVD then you are in luck.

"That's my little gift to the DVD audience. I say, any time I make a billion dollars or more on a movie, you don't put any trailers at the head of it. We started that with 'Titanic,'" said Cameron.

"Avatar" will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Earth Day, April 22.
