'Hot Tub,' Dragon' hit big screen

LOS ANGELES "How to Train Your Dragon" is an action filled animated adventure that tells the story of a young Viking who lives on an island, where fighting dragons is just what everyone does.

Except there's one problem the son of the Viking chief befriends one of the mythical beasts, and he tries to change his village's mind about whether or not these creatures are really so bad.

The film is rated PG.

The weekend has one other wide release, and this one probably isn't for the entire family.

Get your Members Only jackets ready. The title "Hot Tub Time Machine" pretty much says it all. Four friends jump into a hot tub and through the miracle of movie magic they surface in 1986.

The confused quartet stumbles through a world cassette tapes and leg-warmers while they figure out this is really a chance for a redo on their lives in this R-rated comedy.

New and in limited release is "Chloe."

Julianne Moore plays a doctor who suspects her spouse is being unfaithful. So she hires an escort service girl, played by Amanda Seyfried, to seduce her husband.

Liam Neeson plays Moore's husband in this R-rated thriller.

"Waking Sleeping Beauty" is a documentary that chronicles the film animation world of the Disney studios from 1984- 1994.

The filmmakers examine how a group of talent converged to help the studio revive its animated franchise after a decade of stagnation, to create one of the most successful periods in animation history.

And that's what's new at the movies this weekend.
