Alameda Street hit-and-run kills father of 3

LOS ANGELES A 59-year-old man was hit and killed by a car on Alameda Street just south of 8th Street at about 3 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives say the driver was heading northbound on Alameda and drove away after the crash.

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan.
