Rare 10s in Week 2 'Dancing With the Stars'

Hollywood Wrap with George Pennacchio
LOS ANGELES Nicole Scherzinger and her partner jived their way to the top of the judges' leaderboard. They also got some 10s in the second week of competition, only the third time that's happened in the show's history.

"He was flippin' amazing, because I was not jiving with the jive. He worked it out of me. We worked it out with the song. It felt amazing. We worked really hard but I never expected that we would get 10s," said Nicole Scherzinger with her partner Derek Hough.

In second place for the second week, Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya. They've been working overtime but now, for them, things are about to get tougher.

"Our schedule's about to get real tough here because we'll be on the road with 'Stars on Ice' every Wednesday through Sunday and we're going to have to just, you know, pedal to the metal," said Lysacek.

And in third place for the second week, sportscaster Erin Andrews and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

"Maks had prepared me for sevens, so I was kind of like, 'all right.' And then when I heard the eights, I was like, 'oh, all right,'" said Andrews.

After two weeks of celebrity dancing, Pamela Anderson is in fourth place, followed by TV's latest "Bachelor," Jake Pavelka, in fifth, and Niecy Nash in sixth.

Shannen Doherty, who's in seventh place, almost had a different partner.

"Mark [Ballas] was rushed off to Cedars-Sinai," said Doherty. "I didn't know if I was going to get to dance with him and I only got to dance with the substitute partner once."

"I'm all wrapped up at the moment but I've had it -- they shot it up today so I'm feeling pretty good," said Ballas.

Chad Ochocinco is tied for eighth place with the show's most improved dancer: soap star Aiden Turner.

"We worked hard ever since last Monday's show," said Turner. "Tuesday we turned up and Edyta and I, we just started full steam ahead, didn't we?"

After two weeks of dancing, Kate Gosselin is in 10th place, followed only by former astronaut Buzz Aldrin, who said he's hoping his fans will keep him in the game.

For one couple, it ends Tuesday night. We'll find out who during the Results Show at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
