Man fatally shot after drinking with friends

LOS ANGELES Investigators say Saul Hernandez, 23, was standing on the sidewalk on the 200 block of South Rampart Boulevard drinking at around 8:00 p.m. His friends went home about an hour later, leaving Hernandez alone.

Shortly after, an unknown suspect or suspects walked up to Hernandez, pulled out a handgun and shot him. Hernandez ran to his apartment and collapsed in front of his family members.

Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he died.

Witnesses who heard the gunshots told detectives they saw two suspects running from the scene.
