LOS ANGELES --
The suspect accused of the 2008 murder of a Sun Valley High School student is back in Los Angeles to stand trial.David Hernandez fled to Mexico after the murder of 16-year-old Edward Satterstron. Satterstron was walking near Laurel Canyon and Roscoe Boulevard with a friend on August 2, 2008 when he was confronted by a gunman who fired several rounds, striking him in the upper torso.
Satterstron collapsed at a nearby restaurant and was taken to a local hospital where he died. He was a student and a football player at John Francis Polytechnic High School.
Hernandez fled to Mexico after the murder, and was later arrested by the LAPD and the FBI. He was returned to the U.S. Tuesday. He is set to face murder charges in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday .
