Cool Kid helps victims of domestic violence

LOS ANGELES The /*Jenesse Center*/ is a shelter for families who are the victims of domestic violence. Cool Kid Bryson Rouzan-Thomas is heavily involved in helping people who have had their lives turned upside down.

"To come with nothing, to know your life is changed at that very instant is heartbreaking," said Bryson. "Like I said, that's what we try to change."

Bryson has helped create a program called The Change. Their focus is on the children.

"To input education, to input healthy relationships and happy relationships and that is the goal of what our group is mainly based off of," said Bryson.

Bryson has been involved with the Jenesse Center for most of his life. He shows a very strong connection with both moms and kids.

"I think Bryson has an innate heart for sharing. And he has a gift of bringing people together, all ages," said Karen Earl, executive director of Jenesse Center.

In the middle of so much gloom, Bryson looks for those little glimmers of happiness.

"I just love seeing the smile that comes on their faces because at this point in their life, they aren't having many happy moments that I experience every day," said Bryson.

Domestic violence shatters lives. Cool Kid Bryson Rouzan-Thomas is there to help put the pieces back together.
