Video shows girl walking off w/ family's dog

REDLANDS, Calif. Flyers of the missing Terrier named T.J. are posted in store fronts up and down streets in downtown Redlands.

The 9-month-old pup is well known in the area. He's been sort of a mascot at Ozel's jewelry store, but now the beloved pet is missing.

"He is just my dog not a child, so I can imagine missing a child is even more hurtful," said T.J.'s owner Sonya Jacobson. "But he's my baby and I just want him home."

T.J. hasn't been seen since Thursday when he ran out the front doors of the store. However, surveillance video shows a young girl walking off with him.

"We looked back at the surveillance about 20 minutes to half an hour later and we saw that somebody was just snuggling with him and decided to take off with him," said Jacobson.

While T.J. was known for running loose in the streets, Jacobson says the dog had a collar on with her phone number.

"It just looks like she just fell in love with him," said Jacobson. "The dog is part of the whole community."

Jacobson just wants thr young girl to bring T.J. back. She knows how much joy the dog can bring, but his absence is also breaking hearts.
