Fundraiser held in honor of fallen soldiers

A fundraiser is planned to create two new Cops 4 Causes programs in honor of a former LAPD SWAT officer and a Marine Lance Corporal who were killed in Afghanistan last month.The April 8th event at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach will honor former SWAT Officer Robert Cottle and Marine Lance Corporal Rick Centanni.

Cottle and Centanni were killed in a roadside bombing March 24th.

The fundraiser will support the new Cops 4 Causes "Robert J. Cottle Returning Veterans Heroes Fund" and the "Rick J. Centanni Fallen Heroes Scholarship."

All active and former members of law enforcement and the military along with their supporters and the public are invited to join in the night of comedy, remembrance and giving.

Standup comedian Tommy Davidson will headline the event. Tickets are $25, with proceeds going to both funds.

The event is sponsored by LAPD SWAT Officers, Los Angeles Police Protective League Representatives and Cops 4 Causes Representatives.
