Non-stop Hawaii flights from O.C. curtailed

Continental Airlines says non-stop flights from Orange County to two Hawaiian Islands are going to be put on hold this September.Continental's non-stop service out of John Wayne Airport to Maui and Oahu began just last month. The airline says it plans to temporarily suspend the service September 12th.

Continental says it plans to resume flights during the more lucrative holiday season. Flights to Honolulu will resume in November. Flights to Maui will resume in mid-December.
