Men leave LAX on helicopter speed record trip

LOS ANGELES The three men on board are chief pilot Johan Nurmi, Brent McNevin, and Travis Reid. The team is flying a Robinson 44 helicopter, heading for Savannah, Georgia, with several re-fueling stops along the way.

The pilots are hoping to beat the old round-trip record of 88-hours, 43-minutes.
