Customer smashes beer bottle on gunman's head

CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. The store's surveillance tape camera captured pictures of the gunman demanding money from the clerk. As the clerk fumbled for the money in the cash register, the gunman fired several shots inside the store.

The tape shows the customer coming from behind the robber with a beer bottle and smashing the bottle over the suspect's head.

As the gunman ran off, he turned and shot the Good Samaritan four times. The customer was treated and released from a local hospital.

The suspect is still on the loose.
