Police said an officer feared for his life and fired at Ojeda. Ojeda was not hit and ran back into his home, with the rifle still in his hands.
SWAT was called out and after a short time, Ojeda was taken into police custody. A rifle was recovered inside the home. Police said there were no hostages involved.
The officer-involved shooting is under investigation. The officer, who is a five-and-a-half-year veteran of the police force, is not being identified.
Ojeda was booked for unlawful discharge of a firearm, discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner and drawing or exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a police officer.
