Cool Kid uses music to help struggling women

LOS ANGELES Rachel Eskenazi-Gold is a Cool Kid who uses her musical talent to reach out.

"That's why we perform, why art exists, to communicate with other people," said Rachel.

Oscar winning composer /*Hans Zimmer*/ heard a song written by Rachel. The recording he produced with her is raising money to help Mothers 2 Mothers and other organizations that help women around the world. Rachel's inspiration came from watching a video about women struggling with life.

"This one mother has to walk miles and miles to get to a hospital carrying a child and she just found out that she's HIV positive," said Rachel.

Rachel loves how her music influences the lives of people no matter where they are.

"The fact that I can help people without ever meeting them is wonderful. That's what I want, that's what it is supposed to be," said Rachel.

It gives Rachel a great feeling to know that what she does can mean so much.

"To me, it's the most rewarding thing in the world, to see people smile and to know you're helping someone," said Rachel.
