Only one person was in the home during the fire. The person was awakened by the sound of breaking glass and was able to get out unhurt.
Crews were worried that flying embers could ignite nearby brush, so they brought in water-dropping helicopters.
No other structures were damaged by the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
