Cyclists tear through L.A. for Amgen Tour

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES Some of the world's best riders are competing in the week-long race, which started last Sunday in /*Northern California*/.

Saturday's stretch was 21 miles through downtown L.A. It started at /*L.A. Live*/ then went through /*Exposition Park*/, circled City Hall, before returning to L.A. Live.

"It's a very hard race with a lot of climbs. Most of the bunch are pretty tired. We're now with 85 cyclists," described professional cyclist Nikolas Maes, who took part in the event.

The race started out with 128 cyclists. The final stage is Sunday in /*Thousand Oaks*/.
