Suspect arrested in Home Depot thefts

VICTORVILLE, Calif. Police say he stole property from a Home Depot store on Roy Rogers Drive and they believe he committed thefts at two other locations earlier in the day.

Investigators say workers at Home Depot saw Molina use a scam where he paid for some items and then snuck other items out of the store. They say he used a similar scam at stores in Apple Valley and Bear Valley.

He was taken into custody after a traffic stop and booked at Victor Valley Jail.

Authorities have so far recovered nearly $2,100 in stolen power tools.
