74-yr-old man arrested in student hit-and-run

LOS ANGELES It happened on /*La Cienega*/ near /*West Hollywood*/ on May 19. The collision was all caught on surveillance footage.

Benjamin Zelman, a 22-year-old parking valet, was crossing the street at around 10:40 p.m. when he was hit by an older model yellow Volkswagen Beetle with a black convertible top that kept going after the collision.

Zelman suffered a critical head injury, and remains hospitalized in a coma.

Earlier Thursday, Zelman's mother offered $10,000 of her own money on top of an existing $25,000 reward in the case.

A few hours later, police confirmed Goldman's arrest. He was booked on suspicion of felony /*hit-and-run*/. His bail is set at $50,000.
