Arsonist sought in Tues. Malibu brush fire

MALIBU, Calif. The fire was reported at 12:22 a.m. and Los Angeles County firefighters put it out 11 minutes later.

The fire burned about a quarter-acre of brush in Topanga State Park. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Firefighters determined the blaze was started by a possible arsonist.

A county fire official said two half-burned Roman-candle-type fireworks were found in the area. A driver told authorities somebody was driving in the Isuzu Trooper and tossed the fireworks.
