Youngest bullfighter injured in 2nd fight

MEXICO CITY Michel "Michelito" Lagravere successfully killed his first bull, which weighed 893 pounds, but he lost his footing while facing his second bull and was knocked around the sand by the 848-pound animal.

Lagravere was taken from the ring for X-rays. His father said he suffered only bruises. Michel Lagravere Sr. added that he had been both fearful and proud watching his son in the ring.

The 12-year-old says he started bullfighting at the age of 4. He credits his love for the sport to being surrounded by bullfighters from an early age. Lagravere has been fighting mostly in Peru and Mexico due to the age restrictions which prevent him from fighting in Spain.
