According to the New York Times, during her 20s, Hoffmann interned with a chef in Italy, traiined to be a doula after helping deliver her sister&#39;s kids and moved in with her boyfriend in a &#39;vintage trailer in the Catskills.&#39; Hoffmann acted sparingly at the time, appearing in independent films, mostly.
