Body found in O.C. car ID'd as former Marine

The person who was found in a burning car in an Orange County parking structure a couple of weeks ago has been identified.

The person who was found in a burning car in an Orange County parking structure a couple of weeks ago has been identified.Coroner's officials say the victim was 59-year-old James Michael Purcey, a former Marine. Purcey was found May 31 in a condominium complex on the 16900 block of Algonquin Street in Huntington Beach.

Firefighters discovered the body after they put out the fire. The body had been burned beyond recognition.

Authorities said Purcey was a Vietnam veteran who had published a book that questions the government titled "Am I The Only American Who Thinks This Way?"
