Newly released radar pictures are shedding new light on the magnitude-7.2 earthquake that hit the Calexico area on April 4.Airborne Jet Propulsion Laboratory images from before and after the temblor, superimposed over a Google Earth map, show the dynamics in the area where the quake struck. They reveal that the Earth shifted up to 31 inches around Calexico.
Other measurements showed a ground movement up to 10 feet near the epicenter, south of the border.
